Its the red one

You have to very careful with that one, especially in the wet. Quick in a straight line (for a 30 year old car) but it doesn’t do corners very well.
1950s design suspension (leaver arm dampers) and 3.5L V8 engine means you’ll be visiting the scenery at an alarming rate - usually sideways.
I must get round to lowering it, and putting some Koni’s on.

Ah – the red question, well its just coincidence.

Both the V8 and MX5 were bought from friends who were passionate about their cars and they looked after them with meticulous attention to detail. So condition and history were the main factors in choosing the cars, they both just happened to be red. The RX-8 I ordered was going to be blue, but when I was offered a higher spec, cancelled order, I decided to compromise on colour to jump the queue and get more power, again it just happened to be red.

What a gorgeous machine! You happy with it Adrian?
Happy with it? I absolutely love it and I’m still running it in, cant wait till I can rally let rip!!

But, I do really miss the CC. I’ve never really felt like that about a car before. When I went to collect the RX-8 I was more conscious about losing the CC than gaining the Mazda, and then last week I went passed the dealer and there was my CC sitting on the forecourt with a price tag in the window, it was heartbreaking. (£11995 though, there having a laugh, maybe some mug will pay that for it).

Would I swap back? Would I f***!
Would I swap the V8 for the CC, well that’s more difficult, I’ve had the MG for 18 years so its about time I changed it, but I’ve just had my insurance renewal through and its gone down again. £65 this year with agreed value and 5000 mile limit. Now if I could get classic insurance on the CC……..

Looking good. I reckon you're better off with the red. They look distinctly "odd" in some colours, particularly at the rear and that low bonnet. There's a black one local to me, and it doesn't look right at all :(

I've seen a grey one, and it looks like primer. The best colours are red and the blue thats similar to aegean.

That exactly what I thought. I made the mistake of saying so to the dealer - he was not impressed.

I spent this evening trying to relocate the front number plate lower down, to open up the mouth. I made up some brackets and fitted the plate but then could'nt see how to remove the backing plate from the original position. Im sure Ill get it sorted tomorrow but it looks a bit odd at the moment.
