You could try emailing support@hotmail.com or try http://register.passport.net/contactus.srf

Explain your situation, and hopefully they will help.

Best I can offer at the moment.

i would have said exactly the same thing.... if you have the persons ip address there are tools out there to do an ip lookup.

i work for an IT company and will spk to a few people tomorrow to try and sort something for you.

my hacker has a sense of humour!

I emailed my account asking why they did this too me, wat had I done etc

And got a reply..........

ok so i've change ur pass(***********E) and deleted ur forum but it will make u learn in future not 2 use weak passwords for multipile accounts.

consider this as a slap in the wrists ....

Mr Cracker get it right.

reply and i will give ur your account back

The time is ticking..

Then I emailed back asking wat kinda password I should use, cause Ive used mines for years without probs!

Answer........

numbers digits together and mixed upper and lowercase

eg: A1gOd2520polS

Thanks for your help guys but my hacker gave me back my password!

At least youve got your account back now. I would be tempted to use a better password. You could probably use your car number plate as a password, or a phrase that you could remember.

Dom, I have been looking out for you mate. I seen a few CC's, but not many wavers.

Ye, I had noticed, although I have had one or two wavers over by Monkspath.

I'm not to far away from the Land Rover Plant.

The thing is, why did he attack you, and why delete your forum.

If you've lost the forum that could be loads of stuff you have lost there.

If they were trying to prove a point, why delete the forum? Could have just changed the password and left it at that.

Just having a weak password doesn't make you a target for a hacker. The hacker would need to know your account to even start hacking it. And then it can take a number of attempts to guess the password.

Personally, I would still report it to the relevant support team for tracing etc.

another suggestion on passwords to use: the more random, the better!!!!!! a mix of names, numbers completely random is the worst for hacking software to guess!!!!
