just ring your dealer. Play dumb and tell them that other dealers are selling the 2 years extension at £50 per year. I am sure they will offer you the same deal.

If they dont then ring a dealer that is, after all whats a phone call when you stand to save over £108.50 obver the 2 years.

I am sure people will list on here the name and phone number of their dealer if they are selling the package at £50 per year

Beware - make sure you renew your AA assistance cover before it expires after 1 year, as it cannot be renewed at a later date.

Nearly fell into that trap as nobody from Peugeot let me know

My Dealership did tell me about having to renew before the year is up. They have also provided me with excellent customer service so far.

p.s. no I don't work for them, just impressed with customer service.

Here is my update!
Called my dealer where I got my car from (let me remind you this wasn't my choice in dealer as the original dealer I ordered from shut down and transferred my order)
(They transferred it to a dealer which was convenient to them and not me and is over 40 minutes away from me. They refused to transfer it to either of the local dealers to me which are 10 minutes away!)

They said there was no way of them inputting my extra 2 years on the offer of £100 as my AA cover had expired. I told them that I should have got a reminder about renewing as other people had and that it wasn't my fault.
The sales guy said he was on his own but would try and find out if they can do anything and call me back either today or Monday.
Put it this way - if they don't cough up I am gonna be a little heated!

The salesman also mentioned the offer to me before I mentioned anything so it isn't for the "special few" as the letter states!

Will keep you posted!
Julia

Another update - called Peugeot customer relations who said the offer they have is only for cars 6-9 months old which is why I wouldn't have received a letter. (The sales guy at the garage didn't say this!)
Customer Relations said there was nothing they could do because
a)My AA had expired
b) My car is over 9 months old and the offer is only valid for cars 6-9 months old.

Surprise surprise we seem to be told one thing by one person and one thing from another.
Can anyone help me????
Julia

ask your dealer very nicely to do your warranty but to back date it. They can pretend they mislaid the paperwork

They get their cut on the cover and no one loses out

I have done this before

the AA cover is listed in the peugeot price list as an option at £50 pa so any other price is not correct.

i think you should find someone who works for peugeot and ensure they "look into it"

Glad to hear you didn't go the skimpy clothes / flirting option Rob. I don't know what you look like but I don't know that it's a good look for you. Not sure if your good advice would have had the desired effect (you never know though...)

The Plot thickens!

After coming home from work I dug through my paperwork on my car and found a form which I was given when I bought my car. I called the number on it - Peugeot Assistance (0800 838913) and asked if I was covered now my car is over a year old. It turns out I am covered for 3 years!!!
So I must be a lucky one!? :???:
I checked my original order form and noticed I paid £80 for AA cover. This is for 3 years!?

Eventually a silver lining to the cloud as I was beginning to get a little annoyed!
This then kicks up the question - why are most other people covered for one year and paying more!?

when you bought your car Julia AA cover was £40 per year!

So the tip is folks buy it early as Peugeot like to keep sneaking the prices up
