I wonder why some people buy cabs?

I saw 4 cabs this morning (not all cc's) with their roofs UP!!
I wonder how many people on this list drove to work or wherever with their roof up?

If YOU did I wonder why?

It always intrigued me before I bought the cc that someone would spend a lot of extra money to buy a cab and then keep the roof up. Now I’ve got one it’s just glorious with the roof down, so I’m even further intrigued by those who keep the roof up in nice weather.

I dont quite understand why peeps freak out about having the roof up... maybe their boot was full??? maybe they enjoy the air conditioning??? maybe they want to listen so some music and actually be able to hear the instruments rather than just the bass... I have it down when i can but its no biggy IMO ;)

I put the roof down at every opportunity! The only reason I don't is if the boot is being used for shopping etc and I hate it if I see another CCer as I'm sure they are thinking "Why's her roof up"!

Perhaps for long motorway driving I keep it up, but that will soon be sorted when I organise getting my windstop through Rob!

Well, I generally start off to work with the roof up as my eyes are very sensitive to glare especially first thing in the morning when I've just woken up. 8)

However, about halfway thru my 50-60 min commute I start getting the itch to put the roof down - so down it goes. :D

If I go out during lunch, I almost always have the roof down, and probably likewise for the trip home.

Make the most of it !
Cheers,
Michael

i don't put it down so much on the way to or from work as I have about 25 minutes of motorway driving to contend with as part of my 100 mile round trip to the office. Also, its 6.30 in the morning when I leave home and, in London, its generally still quite nippy.

If the weather is right though, I'll put the roof down when I get back into London for the end of the journey. Sometimes I'm doing short trips as well so can't be bothered putting it down for 10 minutes of driving.

50 seconds for miles of open top glory seems like a good deal to me.

I'll go topless at any opportunity!!!  On a day like this you just want to go for a drive with the roof down just for the hell of it and because you can. My CC makes me :D
Life's too short to drive around with your roof up.

never had roof down if out before 8am but at other times i would have it down unless there were things in the boot to stop me.

people probably look at me the now and say the same thing as it's roasting and i've got the roof up - but then it has been f****d for the last 3 months :(

I have mine down at every opportunity, I go by the temp gauge, if above 15 and not raining roofs down. I think i've paid all that money for a convertable why not convert it.

Also i've found people let me out of junctions sooner when i'm topless ;)

I'm on holiday this week, I drove over to Cardiff today (from Bristol) I saw loads of cabs with the roof up!
Mine was down ALL the way, even managed to get a bit sunburnt, looks like I need to buy suntan lotion again!

I can understand people not wanting to put their roofs down when driving on the motorway coz it can be very noisy, but I just dont get it in the towns!
