Hi,

My girlfriends mums has just taken delivery of a Quiksilver... but the thing is, it does not have the aluminium roll over bars, and the interior panels are black and not grey as specified in the Specifications & Prices on their website... I didn't want to say too much as she's just got the car today, but to me there is something very wrong here... The colour is right, and it has the badge on the side around the side indicator etc... are there other places I could look to check further?

What do you guys think?

Cheers.

I picked up my wife's quiksilver on Friday and it doesn't have the silver rollover hoops. The dealer said that peugeot had sent out a letter that none of the quiksilver would have them. I kicked up a big stink and they are going to chase it up with the factory.

Apart from that it is perfect. I guess the easiest way to see if it is a quiksilver is to check the upholstery which has the quiksilver logo all over it.

Mine doesn't have the aluminium hoops either. I got the same thing about a letter being issued but to be honest it's not a major issue with me so I won't be hassling them over it.

As for the interior. I suppose it's what your definition of 'grey' is. To me it looks like dark grey verging on black. Some might say it's black and not dark grey at all. A matter of personal interpretation?

If you or her are really not happy about it the best thing to do would be to raise these issues with the dealer and see what the outcome is.

Hi, thanks for the replies. The thing that annoys me is that when they were going through the specification, they never pointed out that the aluminium rollover bars had been removed from the specification. Does anyone know when the letter was sent out to the dealers? Also shouldn't they change the spec you can get off of the internet?

On another note, the roof stayed up today :) So back to the dealer it went....

The roof will not go down, it gets all the way to the boot needing to close but then nothing happens. It's going into the garage tomorrow and they will see if they can fit it in....

What a result!

I got to thinking about the aluminium hoops being missing on my Quiksilver. Whilst it doesn't really bother me, I thought, what the hell, I'll send an email to Peugeot direct and see if they do anything about it. I wasn't expecting a satisfactory response I have to be honest.

But I have just got a call out of the blue from my dealer to say that they have been contacted by HQ and that my aluminium hoops are on order and they will be in touch shortly to arrange fitting

Apparently (?) there was a shortage of the hoops during production and rather than hold up proceedings waiting for further supplies, they decided to send the cars out without them. Questionable.

Anyway, if you don't have the hoops on your Quiksilver, send an email!

Cheers for that.

Any chance you could send me the link to the official website regarding the aluminium hoops as standard on quiksilver.

Just in case they question it.

Hi all

I have this morning received an email from Peugeot re: my quicksilver's Allu Hoops:

Thank you for your e-mail.

I am afraid that the Aluminium roll bars that were initially shown on 206
Coupe Cabriolet Quicksilver could not be fitted due to engineering
problems. Consequently I am afraid that all 206 Coupe Cabriolet
Quicksilver's are produced with black roll bars at present.

have at last (after several emails) got some good news from Peugeot - my dealer is getting the hoops in for me, so worth being persistant with it, after all, they were detailed on the spec
