Have just bought 2003 206cc for my wife and after reading loads of stuff on the site hope that I don't live to regret it. We have had the sqealing brake syndrom from the word go and it hasn't rained yet so I don't know about the roof. On the whole it seems solidly made but only time will tell.
Anyway I hope that there are people out there who enjoy this car.

I've only had my car a fortnight (1st convertible) and I already wonder how I managed before!! Brakes are sometimes a bit squeaky but if you turn up the music it doesn't really bother you  and the sheer fun of having the roof down on a sunny day...well, what more can I say? ENJOY!!!!
Life's too short to drive around with your roof up.

Agree with all of the above - had my cc 3 weeks and squeaky brakes from day 1. (first convertible, 2nd car with squeaky brakes!)

It rained hard for the first 2 days...so the roof was tested out and so far, so good.

You can test if it leaks by using the hose over it - just don't use a pressure hose pointed directly at the seals (advice of the dealer).

Apart from that first couple of days - the roof has been down pretty much every day....and more than compensates for any little niggles. Even better if you get a wind stop..really makes a difference.

Have fun!

Dont blame you for being nervous Bussy. I love my CC and luckily its summer for 7 months in a year here in South Africa, so roof is down most of the time. However, this still doesnt dismiss the fact that there are actually a lott of faults with the CC and if it wasnt for its wicked good looks and head turning power, then i must admit i would have also thought twice about getting one in the first place. :x

I've had my 206cc for 1 year and 6 months now and I have to say that I squeaky brakes too. I've recently changed the brake discs and pads with non-peugeot ones and this has cured the squeaky brakes completely. My roof has never leaked and the car has proved very reliable.

As the others say, Summers here and taking the roof of the car to enjoy the sunshine makes it all the worthwhile.

I would say a resounding YES.

Took delivery the last weekend of November, we even managed to have the roof down that weekend (only briefly!).

Since then I've driven it all through the winter, I've done almost 8,000 miles. So far, no need to go back to the garage. Don't want to tempt fate (!) but I had a 306 before and have been very impressed with reliability both times.

Shame about my friend's 206 hatch though, she's had nothing but trouble. Perhaps hers was built on a Friday afternoon?!?!?!
