Was just wondering if there's anybody on this forum who hasn't done any modding to their car? ie: it's still totally stock standard and they have no plans to change that.

Why is it that only a relatively small number of cc owners have found this site?

For example, there's only a handful of us Aussies here, and yet I know Peugeot has sold something like 2,500 cc's Downunder.

So who are the other owners? How are they different from us? Does their car only perform the humble function of getting them from Point "A" to Point "B"? Doesn't their interest in the car extend any further?

Oh, the windmills of my mind........ :?
Cheers,
Michael

I think owners who aren't here are the ones who just bought a nice cc. They aren't so interested about tuning cars, they just drive (seldom they cruise, or never). They just go from home to work and that's about it. What a waste of CC's
And then are the ones who are very interested about all the rattless they car makes ;)

Well sometimes modding a car is good especially as the standard car needs improving on. e.g. squeaky brakes. I've added some 17" alloys as my 206cc didn't come with alloys and also I've changed to brakes in order to stop the squeaking.

I also think modding can make you a true fan of the car just as "boyracer" has stated.

Or some people just likes their car just the way it is, they still may be true fan of the car. For instance, you buy a Ferrari, do you start immediately to tune it (i mean putting big wing and so on).

Well, I have yet to own a car that didn't need the stereo brought up to spec. Besides the stereo, I usually like tinted windows and that's usually about it.

The cc already looks fantastic in my opinion. So, all of my mods have been about creature comfort. I think the only things that don't come under that heading are the hoops.

Michael

Hi,

Just a windstop on mine.

Reasons for not modding.

1. Don't want to fight monkeys :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: over guarantee. ('cos the car's changed spec!)

2. Can't afford it - therefore can't be arsed. :lager:

3. Hard to resell (should the need ever ever arise) and get any good money back on the mods.

As for people partaking of the forum. I think there must be a lot of Lurkers out there!
Regards,

i joined the forum (first forum) even before i had ordered the car and never intended modifying it as i have never modified any car i had owned before.

after having the car a while i was completely bored with it and was ready to sell, hadn't even owned it for a year. i decided to modify it to create some interest in it again - which worked for a while so now i am bored with it again :D so might sell.

Mine is completely standard, together with the standard squeaky brakes now and again.

(Do have a windstop, cd changer and parking sensors but no body mods)

Mine's fairly standard and, Like Derek, I joined the first forum before I got my car. I have never modded a car before other than upgrading the ICE. Even now, I have dealer fit accessories (mesh grille, windstop etc) but no body mods or suspension mods etc.

I guess we just have a good mix of people on here who are all interested in sharing information about our cars? 8)

Being a girlie...the old saying of 'look good, feel good' applies.

It's a bit like clothes shopping...get the main outfit first (the car)

And if you think it can look even better...get some accessories....or mods in this case!

So compare a windstop to a new pair of shoes...its a must have!

I'm sure the girls can relate to this and the guys will get the picture! :D

Mines modified, but only subtle touches, but they make all the difference. I just wanted it to be a little different from all the other million cc's driving around in newcastle
