I seem to recall seeing a post about turning the "knob" on the allure mats about having to turn them 90 degrees to get them to unclip.
Well I'll be bu**ered if I can get the bally things off.
Can anyone offer any advice?

Once you've removed the mats how do you get them to lock down again?
Nearly had a accident coming into work today as the drivers matt slipped and got stuck over the pedals.

what if the spikes on the base have come off completely. I've tried pushing the base with the spikes into the carpet floor but it won't stay put.
cheers

The base with the spikes in...they should be bendable..so bend them over slightly (so that the spikes point straight down)...then when you press them into the carpet they should flatten out and the spikes will grip diagonally into the carpet.
You should then be able to put the mat over them and the retainers on...

I have an Allure 53 reg, but I didn't get "Allure mats". The dodgy sales guy who sold me the car (from new) and was sacked shortly afterwards promised us mats as "part of the deal" and, when we picked it up they were just ordinary old mats, not Peugeot ones, which they'd probably got as a job lot at Halfords. The new sales guy who was very good couldn't confirm what the dodgy one had promised as it wasn't written down anywhere. So, to cut a long story short, where can I get some Allure mats? I thought there were only basic Peugeot mats available.
Thanks.

Have you asked the dealer if they can get you 'Allure' mats?
In the showroom on an Allure model - they had the same mats the dealer gave me...and I've got the lux cc logo'd ones - could they be the same just known by a different name?

Jem,
I've got the Pug Accessories brochure infront of me! This is what they do, car mats wise:
Lux car mats (front/rear set) - £55 - beige, black or grey
206cc logo'd lux car mats (front/rear set) - £49 (that's what I've got - either black with grey edging or black with red edging)
Std car mats (front/rear set) - £28 - grey only
Metallic car mats (front/rear set) - £32
206cc rubber mats (front set only) - £40
Rubber mats (front set only) - £20
Rubber mats (back set only) - £11
So plenty to choose from! All fit 206cc according to brochure, except Metallic, which doesn't say either way.
Hope that's useful.

Be advised that if you go for the 206 matts then the rears will not fit the cc. I have grey 206cc logo matts and they are tailored made to fit the 206cc. I think these must be for the 1st batches of 206cc for Y plate onwards as they don't have the edging.
