Hi everyone

At last im home from hospital for good, after 7 months,1 in intensive care in cambridge and 6 in a spinal unit in sheffield its good to be home.

For those who dont know i crashed my 6hr old motorcross bike into the back of a 4x4 being driven by my brother, was flat out in 5th so at a guess doing 60ish,hence 8 broken ribs,2 collapsed lungs and a broken back in 5 places.

Remember it all, right up untill they put the chest drains in to stop me drowing in me own blood, cool hey.

Then didnt wake up for 3 weeks, they keep me out for the sake of the pain, then another month before i could begin to wriggle one toe,all in all was on bedrest for 3 months, got fed up of looking at the ruddy ceiling.

Anyhow, got up from bed just before xmas into me chair and out of chair at easter onto crutches, still very weak and nowhere nr 100%

But still very very lucky, managed to miss me honeymoon in the maldives, still bit of cash saved ,hehehe.

So just to say many thanks for your notes, cheers julia for sending them to me,and im now back for good so hopefully see a lot of you on here asap, take me a bit of time to get back into it,but then im retired now so ive plenty of time.

Thanks folks Pete

Ah man sounds like you've had a rough ride (OK maybe not the best way of putting it!)

Very glad to hear you're still in one piece and back home. At least you didn't damage your typing fingers ;)

Well, I don't think we have spoken in the past but it's great to hear that someone who has suffered such a horrific accident is on the road to recovery. I'm sure your friends on this forum will offer every support you need and hopefully make your recouperation a bit more bareable.

Best wishes,

Bri
