Ok all you Sydney CC owners, here's the perfect opportunity to show off our CCs to our GTi mates from www.206gti.net. Please let me know how many of you would be interested?

Subject: NSW 6th Peugeot 206 GTi Drive Day

Date: Sunday 23rd May 2004
Meeting point: 150 Epping road (the HUGE Shell Petrol Station)
Time: 9.00am for a prompt 9.30am departure
Cost: Free to members of the Peugeot Club of NSW, non members $10
per vehicle

DRIVE ROUTE
Three months has past already. Many of you received a FREE copy of
the Peugeot Club of NSW magazine last month courtesy of Troy, Simon
and myself.

Since our last drive day we now coordinate with the Club of NSW in
promoting all of our events. We are members and encourage you all to
do the same. As a member attendance to 206GTi events are free. Non
members will need to pay $10. For more information please go to
http://www.peugeotclub.asn.au/pccnsw.htm

Courtesy of Troy (fellow Gti driver) we are heading west on a route
we took a couple of events ago. It will take us out to Tarana and
this time we will get to Bathurst and hopefully meet up with the
Bathurst Peugeot weekend. Part of this route has been done before
and was loved by many as it has excellent roads and beautiful
scenery. We will then be heading back via Katoomba. Troy has mapped
out some great roads which hopefully will lead to a welcomed drive
in the country and should most definitely clean the cobwebs from
your engines!

I look forward to see you all on the day.

regards
Gavin

I thought I posted a reply the other day, but who knows where it ended up in the great wilderness of cyberspace ???

Unfortunately, I'm in Melbourne that weekend. I would've liked to have caught up with those guys. Always interesting/instructive to see what can and can't be done.

Speaking of which, OMAK how's your quickshift going? Still happy with it?
Cheers,
Michael

ohhhhhhhhhh

QS - yeah it's great. Loving it and after a bit of time away from the car, I got back into it without feeling it to be too notchy.

Mike - Must get one!!!

Got the hoops yet? I'm trying to find out where are our 1:43 models.

Cool Os, on your recommendation, I'll order my Griffiths Quick Shift this week.

I'm completely over the long throw in the gearshift - especially in peak hour traffic which I'm stuck in 10 times every week. Even my Suzuki had a heaps shorter throw than the 206 does !

* Does anybody else want one? After all, freight costs for two will probably be the same as for one... *

As for the hoops, I was lucky enough to have a brother in Melbourne that weekend so they were delivered freight-free by him - although, airport security had an issue with them travelling as cabin luggage !!!

Yes, our models must be turning up almost any minute now. I've also ordered a 1:18 scale model through Ebay from the US. The pics I saw suggested they are reasonably detailed - so, fingers crossed !
Cheers,
Michael

Guys

The Sydney drive day is in 2 weeks time. Who's coming along???

It should be a good drive and the 206gti.net crowd usually draws at least 8-10 cars.

I know Michael will be in Melbourne :( Next time!!

Hi there Os,
The drive was great actually and i was glad that i was able to participate. It was a shame that you couldnt join us for the entire drive. I had to head back to Sydney after the lunch break, so i didnt get the chance to visit Mt Panorama, but judging by the pics ...... looked like the guys had fun there on the starting grid.
It was my first participation in a drive of that kind and it was a good experience.
I am looking forward to the next meet but also looking more forward to a CC meeting and cruising the streets in a convoy with our roofs down.
Thanks again for the invite to the drive.
Hope to catch up soon again with yourself and the other CC guys.
