DOWN LOADS ?????

Can anyone help PLEASE
The car display was showing that i had no oil in the car, i did check the dip stick and the level was fine.
Got back in the car, turned the key and it now says that i have to much oil in the car?

.
The manual (which i would not use to wipe my backside with) says to contact your dealer with out dealy

I did this and was told by the dealer to drive the car and see what happens, when the car is hot (90deg) you get a true reading.
Done this and is still happening! So i call the dealer again

and was told that he would contact me stright away when he gets in.
More hours pass so i call him again

, this time i get passed to a

who tells me that it was he whom did the oil leak on my car and that the oil was at the correct level and that it is a software problem and the only problem is the my dealers site does not have a internet connection and that they will have to take the car to another deakers site to conect the car to the internet

.

Can any tell me if this a common fault.

Can i ask for a upgrade to windows xp

Don't trust the Digital Oil level indication.. As it is only an indicator.. and is pretty unreliable..

It does NOT replace manually checking the oil level regularly..

had that problem, was prity unstable after loads of software upgrades, theyve now replaced the BSI (is that right, the computer bit for it?!?!

) and it seems stable now.

That's a common problem. Software update might help

Are these cars known for oil consumption in normal urban driving ?

Like Jussi says its a software glitch, the oil level will be fine. Software upgrade didnt help either!

Just a sensor having a fit!

Mine does this. The car goes in to have it fixed on Friday. They are also looking at the rear parking sensor cos that just beeps randomly.

Tried to drop the car off last night. The service manager said that he wasn't able to fix the oil indicator problem and it's common to 307s. He thought there would be a recall when Peugeot find a fix.

He tested my rear parking sensor by walking behind the car and commented that it was indeed not working. He'd never had one not work before and didn't know how to fix it. He'd talk to his chief technician who is currently on holiday and I'm now booked in for the 20th of April for two days just in case. He wanted to make sure that the car only had one visit.

I don't know whether to be pleased that he was pretty much upfront with me or annoyed that he doesn't check the list of what is coming in to make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen.
