They do work. At least in my 03 reg CC.

Although if I remember correctly, the Memorex Cd's do not play back.

i did play some cd-r's (cheapo's) in one of me peugeot's, they got that hot in there that the silver backing came off one and i was left with a clear plastic disc

i would think higher quality disc's shouldn't have this problem

I'm using TDk's at the moment. Never had any problems with them. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. init.

For audio CD-Rs it's best to write them at a slower speed.

All my cd's are CD-R and thet all work fine...i tried all kinds of make, and even the cheaper ones are fine...the pug stereos should be fine, some stereos 'dont like' copied CDs, and sometimes you mite need to clean the lenses so they are able to read the disks properly

Thats really funny as i went to look at a 206cc today and ask the salesman this exact question as my 206 glx didnt play cdr. he said that none will.
So im going down again to try it out, but are you all talking about the standard stereo or the slightly upgraded one with the 5 disc auto changer?
