about 5 weeks ago had me CC booked in for it 's mot to be done 28th feb (2moro) got a phone call this afternoon to be told that it couldn't be done as the only bloke that does mot's wouldn't be in
FFS don't they have a stand by, just incase ?????
if they can't get it booked in mon/tues then i'm fucked as the mot runs out wed and i won't be road legal.
i know i should have booked it in a few weeks b4 it was due BUT i very foolishly put my faith in Dixons of mansfield, said it b4 but i'll say it again Dixons of mansifield
ah ah just had a phone call, it's now booked in for monday morning but i've got to take it in as they haven't got anybody to fetch it at such short notice , so thats a hour off work, that dixons will be paying for one way or another
The "Dixon Car Clinic" [accident repair centre] next door to Dixons in Mansfield are just as incompetent.
My old 206 had a collision with another car [my fault ] and the insurers sent it there for repair as this was their "approved repairer". Got the car back with a long list of things not right - phone Dixon Car Clinic up and the first thing the guy who repaired the car sais was "Yes, we knew it wasn;t ready when you collected it."
Sounds like another dealership / repair centre to avoid.
It must be catching, Dixons of Grimsby must have the worst after sales service in the country. The Allure developed a roof leak on the drivers side arranged for Dixons to leave a courtesy car and pick up ours on Mon morning,Arrived at 12.15(6 hour job )car arrived back & driver comments give em a ring??? Phoned them SORRY JOB NOT DONE NO PART IN STOCK
we can get the part next day delivery if you pay the £25 carridge!!!!!!!Told them to get stuffed and car booked in for Friday.Car picked up on Friday 14.00 delivered back on Monday, first sign of rain and roof still leaking. Is there anyway of checking if the seal has been changed ? Would not recommend Gimsby Dixons to anyone .
PS car also booked in for a squeeky brake pedal at the same time ( been fixed no problem sir ) still bloody squeeky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have been recommended to try Browns at Louth (small family dealer)as the car is still under Peugeot warranty
ANY COMMENTS ?
PPS sorry for the long rant but now feel a bit better

They sorted my Tigra out after it had been obliterated by a house. Well I say they sorted it, during the quoting stage there was a large crash from the workshop and about 6 mechanics just stood there looking in horror.....I can only say it looked like a car had fallen off one of the ramps. I swiftly phoned up my insurance after they booked it in for work 6 weeks later and told them no way!!!
u need to find a new dealer to use lyndon. that's what i have done, they aren't great but anyone can be better than ARNOLD CLARK who can't be trusted to even make the dinner
