Hello,

i have just had my cc's software updated to cure engine management problems, which seem to have been fixed, now ive re-activated my auto lights as they seem to be off by default and they no longer stay on for 30 seconds after the engine has stopped. Is this a setting i can change? I really got used to it since i used the light to see the front door !!!

Andrew!

My Mar 03 CC never had this, wherever I parked up whether it was in light, dark or whatever it never worked. The normal auto-lights when moving worked fine.

It's a shame Pug don't make the software versions and fixes public so we can all see what we're getting/losing. The last download took away the auto-volume on my radio, although I see that's an option they can re-activate within Diag2000 so it could be the default for it is now "off".

Anyone know if there's a combination of buttons you can press to display version numbers?

As others have said, the latest version I got a couple of weeks back sometimes randomly locks the doors when you get in, flicks all the dial gauges down below zero on starting, and occasionally on startup I get airbag fault and "passenger airbag deactivated". I took it in with the radio presets not staying set and the fuel gauge not reading full when the tank was full and unfortunately the software upgrade didn't fix these issues but gave me more problems :(

these software updates do seem a bit hit and miss!!

regarding your auto volume feature, that never used to work on mine, i set it to On and it would default back to Off again as soon as the car was started again, but it works now !!! although i cant say if it actually adjusts the volume depending on my speed.

only the newish CC's, built on and after oct 2002 that have the mulitplexing wiring, may be wrong tho as i didn't have the factory fit stereo in long enough to try out all the features :D

set it to On and it would default back to Off again as soon as the car was started again
The latest BSI download set mine to "OFF" and I can't turn it on. I found this page which had settings for the BSI on a 206XSI and you can see they can basically turn on and off all the settings, including "Volume Automatic Control: Active".

The main website here is quite informative and has mention of the dreaded "showroom mode" which looks to be default when a BSI download is performed.

My auto-lights used to stay on, think its called "follow me home lights", but since the software upgrade was done they dont any more.

I prefer the lights like that. I dont get people in carparks telling me I've left my lights on any more, and I dont hang around by the car "just in case" the lights dont switch off. (They always did switch off, but being a paranoid sort of person, I never trusted it! ).

Neither of my CC's headlights stayed on after the engine was turned off. As for auto volume radios - I think I will be sat in my garage reading my handbook and fiddling tomorow! :?

As for auto volume radios
If you've got it, it's in the menu you get for treble/bass/balance etc. Since the last software upgrade I can't toggle mine to "ON".

It increases the volume slightly when you go over 75ish, something like that. You don't see anything happening on the display, it just gets a bit louder when you go that bit quicker.

Thanks - I'll have a play when I'm sat in the queue for The Mall tonight.

As long as it doesn't go extremely quiet when you stop at traffic lights, etc...would be extremely embarrased if I am suddenly singing loudly on my own!
