Can anybody recommend a bike rack that fits well on to the CC?
I'd appreciate any advice.

There is a German company called Eckla who do one as shown in the following pic :

Their website :

I can't find specific information on the 206cc rack. Might be worth dropping them an Email to see if they have a uk distributor.

It looks pretty much identical to a standard bike mount that you'd get from Halfords, to me.

If was going to be regularly mount bikes on the car, I'd get a removable tow-bar fitted and then get a tow-bar mounted bike rack. That would also give you the option of towing a box trailer, if desired.

When no required you could then detach the tow-bar to preserve the car's lines.

I wasn't aware of the standard Halfords bike racks fitting the CC - although I know the Eckla unit does fit....question answered.
If you can provide more specific information on the removable tow-bar I am sure it will be appreciated.

Sorry, I haven't fitted a tow-bar on mine (yet). Someone did it and wrote about it on the old forum but I've had a quick search and can't find the article.

I bought an Eckla bike rack and it fits the car perfectly. The reason I bought it over a standard bike rack in Halfords was that I saw one already fitted to a CC on the German web site and thought that will do!

They do not have a UK importer but if you e-mail them directly they will ask you to pay the money directly into their bank account and will send the rack when the money has cleared. They are German so as expected very efficient and the rack is of high quality - also works out cheaper (about £80 including delivery) seems a bit of a waste of time and money getting a towbar fitted when a rack does the same job!

Look under the 'styling' section of this forum and there is a thread about the bike rack if you need more information.
