all i got from his wife, deb's, was this email back in october 15th 2003

Lyndon, You will find that Pete has not been collecting his e-mails as he is in Addenbrooks hospital in intensive care since 4th Oct and i've only just managed to check them but i have saved them for him for when he gets out which might not be until December.
Thanks Debs (the wife)

i did reply asking if there's anything we can do but as yet got no reply :(

just hope everything's ok :D

mmm Maldives!

Was there 2 years ago, just sit back and imagine :-

1) The greatest untouched chain of paradise islands left on all this earth

2). Where the sandy beaches are made up of ground shells so white you cannot see where the sea starts and where the beach ends.

3). The fish appear suspended as they swim only a few feet from the beach.

4). Where the fish are brighter and more colourful than those in your tropical fish tank.

5). Where you encounter giant clams snorkling.

6). Countless palms hang over the sea just like your brochure cover.

7). Where the weather is just perfect most days of the year.

8). You walk round the islands in ten minutes but find most beaches are empty.

Thats the Maldives !

PS. Make sure you always wear a t-shirt when snorkling otherwise you will be burnt within no more than 2 days (as the sea acts like a huge magnifying glass on your back). That would spoil a very special time.

Robbie. 8)

Thanks for that Robbie another sleepless night  Which island did you go to, we are going to a resort called Lily beach on an island called Huvahendhoo at the South East Ari-Atoll. Have been on their website all day sending postcards to my friend in the office
