OK, so this is not really a discussion, but a plea, and it concerns our 'other' car, but knowing what an experienced, educated and downright helpful lot you are I thought I'd give it a shot.
The rear wiper on our MkII Golf has decided to stop doing a full "there and back" sweep, and instead only does just over half a sweep, leaving the blade stopped in a different place each time, and often right in the middle of the screen.
We have replaced the motor with one from a scrappy- no good, so put the original back.
We have replaced the relay- no good, so got our money back and so put the original back.
Low budget as you can see!

Anyone got any ideas? I've also asked a couple of VW forums...
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

since lyndon guessing, i will have a go too... since replacing motor and relay does the same thing so probably something mechanical then, may be tighten the nuts and bolts a bit too much or springs etc etc... how about remove the viper and just let the motor do it work see if it give a full motion?

Cheers guys, consensus from the other forums is stiff mechanism which needs lubing.
So as soon as it stops p1$$ing down for more than 30 seconds I'll give that a go!

Referring to the other rear wiper post- you can't even put on rain-x if it's already raining!
