The battery died on our CC.

Obviously we need the code.

We can't find ours but someone suggested that they come with a standard code (0010 or similar) is this true.

If not can we get the code from Peugeot or the dealer?

Few views but no replies.
I really have no idea on this though I am afraid. I was just told DO NOT LOSE THE CODE!
Sorry - hope someone can help.
Maybe a call to Pug Customer Service for some advice?

Sorry cannot help either as mine was a 2001 model with multiplex and the display for it was on the centre console and it was recently put back in and required no code. :| :|

Multiplex units don't need a code - they check the VIN (or similar) number from the car's computer and only work with that number.

If you bought your car new then you should have had some kind of code card that came with the documentation. Check inside all your manuals etc, it may be there.

Failing that call the garage you bought it from - they sometimes keep records.

It is a 2001 (August reg) car - how do I tell the difference?

Jen is *very* fussy over record keeping - we have eveything from the deposit receipt to the original quotes from other dealer on the price but no code card? :-(

I know the sort of thing you mean - Lotus do a similar thing but put a master key with the car and some bits of plastic with numbers stamped in.

Is it like a credit card type thing?

Either way we have not got it.

Whats the worst case scenario - go to an audio installer and get them to put the code in for what £10 £15?

Its surely the same situation as if you had the card in your bag and it gets nicked or your house burns down and you lose it that way - IE there must be a way round it?

Give your dealer a call - they must have this happen quite often

My Radio code is actually on my invoice, so taht may be worth checking, if not then the dealer should have a record of it, you don't actually get a physical card like with other cars

I got 2 keys.

I wonder if I never got the codes because the car was a surprise gift and the saleswoman had to deliver to Jens work and sneak off after meeting me there in a bit of a rush?

Peugeot got back to me - to tell me the address of the nearest dealer - how helpful, morons!

I think the plastic card with the keys is your immobiliser code needed to tune in new keys.
I did not get a code with mine either but I am sure dealers can get it off the computer system if they feel helpful  . If they cannot or will not and you can get the unit out, give me all the model numbers off the sticker on the unit and the embossed serial number from the metal case and I will try, with some work contacts (I am in the motor trade), to get it for you. I can get 80% of radio codes and no charge :D

Yep, the plastic card with the keys is for your keys (if you need new ones).
I didn't get either the radio code, but mine is multiplex.

Hi Julia

Yeah the others are right, the card for new keys and the code for the immobolizer. The radio code is defo on the invoice/receipt, which IMO is pretty stupid.

How you doing btw, long time no speak!
