If it was a speed camera setup and U don't get a "NIP" (notice of Intent to Prosecute) within 14 days then U have got away with it

I thought that too, but the courts extend this to 17 days to allow for delays in the post... and one other thing - delays owing to things like "you move house and forget to tell them your new address so you don't receive it in time" don't count either

Hmmm, funny that, ex used to work for Crown Prosecution Service and he always thought they had up to 6 months before you were clear.

If you drive a company, lease, or hire car they have a lot longer than 14 days to issue you with fine so that they can track you down. Upto 3 months I think.
Also look out for spec's cameras on the M6 roadworks over the viaduct.
