Just wondered if anyone else has experienced problems with the pre-sets on the 206cc radio. My pre-sets don't seem to work and the set switches to an alternative frequency when I select certain pre-set buttons. Am I missing something? Thanks

I've come to the conclution it's a crap radio. We have similar problem. It only appears to affect Capital Radio and our local radio station. what appears to happen when we go out of range of a tranmitter station and the radio can't find another station transmitting the the same radio station it tunes to the next available radio station but for some inexplicable irrational and annoying reason the changes the preset to the alternative station.
Truied various setting even read the manual but can't find a cure if anyone knows how to solve this one......please tell.

hi all,
I have had this problem for a year. Apparently it is due to a problem which controls the electrics in the car. You can replace the radio as many times as you like and it will not fix the problem. Peugeot have been aware of this problem for over a year now - as far as I know - there is no fix. Very annoying when Kiss 100 and Capital FM suddely become Radio 2 and Radio 4 when you switch on!

A friend with a 306 has been back and had his radio replaced which has cured the problem, apparently a new batch of radios is now available with a fix in them. You can replace the radio as many times as you like and it will not fix the problem. Apparently there is a new batch of radios that 'fix' the problem but when the dealer orders it from Clarion in France they dont always get the new batch with the fix. They say they can not determine which one they will get! I will be speaking to my delaer on Tuesday for a final resolution because it is not on and I dont want to keep getting new radios.

Be great if you could find out if there's a version number or something on the radio which identifies that it's a "fixed" one too.Apparently there is a new batch of radios that 'fix' the problem but when the dealer orders it from Clarion in France they dont always get the new batch with the fix. I have the same problems with my radio, in 2002 2L, but is only turns to crap when you tune to stations that use RDS. In Brisbane 2 of our largest radio stations only turned RDS on last week and the radio has problems with these now but before they broadcasted RDS they were fine, it may be a problem with the EON feature (Enhanced Other Networks) which looks for other frequencies of the same network when the existing signal gets poor but I have other cards with RDS and they handle it fine so the fault almost certainly lies in the RD3 clarion.

I don't think that turning off RDS via the button on the radio will do much to help, It doesn't truly switch off all the rds features the station naming still works I suspect all that switching RDS off via the button turns off things like radio text etc. I will do some testing and see what happens. I also get the problem that when using the stalk i go down through two non RDS channels in preset 1 and 2 and then when I get to the third preset (rds station) it quickly goes from the preset display screen to the normal screen with the station name then if i use the stalk to go down again it starts from preset 1 again, the only way to get past the rds stations is to turn the stalk wheel very fast, this problem happens exactly the same when going from preset 6 backwards, as soon as i get to a RDS station and it goes into the normal screen if I use the stalk to go down it starts from preset 6 again.
Does anybody else have this problem also?
My local dealer is less accomodating that what all yours appear to be, they said that this is how the radio is, live with it, don't use the stalk only use the buttons on the radio. pack of bastards.
