Just taken delivery of my 206CC Allure(1600), this summers special edition, to find no Auto Headlights or Wipers as per the advertising. Dealer denies all knowledge as expected.

Anyone out there been through this or has the Allure and can comment on whether they should eb there or not.

Thanks, and apologies if this has already been discussed.

Auto wipers ..... i thought were standard thourghout, it's just a stalk setting.

the autoights you have to put the key in pos 1 and then push the end of the stalk until it tell you they are on ...

sory not to descriptive but I've not had my cc for a year !

According to the manual, both the light and the wiper stalks should have 'auto' setting marked on them, which my 206CC doesn't have?

If you've got the rain sensor it looks (from the outside of the car looking at the windscreen) a black rentangle set in the rear mirror housing if that's any help. I didn't think the auto lights/rain were on 1.6 versions of 206's, just the 2.0. Can't comment on the Allure. Cheers

Picked up my 1.6 Allure last weekend, it doesn't have auto lights or wipers. Was it the single leaflet advert you saw, it also said climate control so I think some things are for 2.0 and some 1.6

If in doubt speak to Peugeot UK direct, although I asked them about the Sat Nav that was also in the manual and they just told me to ask the dealers (who know nothing!!)

didn't think the allure 1.6 had these options from memory, just the 2.0 as with the standard models.

Hi m8
I picked up my 1.6 Allure last week-end & I have no Auto Wipers/Lights either.I think that was only on the 2 litre model.
On the Peugeot uk web site it originally said that the 1.6 Allure had Digital Climate Control but the Dealer said this was a mistake. If you buy a 1.6s now you can get the Comfort Pack 3:
• Digital air conditioning with climate control
• Automatic headlights on
• Automatic rain sensing front wipers all for £300.
Wish I could have had the option when I bought mine.Too late now though.

Anyway more important than that I had my SP Lower Front Grille fitted today, after it was not ready when I collected the car last Saturday & they only scratched the bloody front bumper & chipped/scratched the towing bracket.I can't believe it to say it is a bloody Brand New Car & they treat it with such disrespect. To say I am a brand new customer to them it does not give a very good impression at all.I rang them straight away & they could not appologise enough BUT that is besides the point they have monkeys paid peanuts & wonder why they have problems. It has already cost me my own petrol to get the car back there & now it has got to go back again.I have'nt used it since last Saturday cos I was so annoyed the Grille was not ready when I collected it originally.(It's still only got about 100 miles on the clock.)
Has anyone else had this experience & what happened to you ?

Can you get these retrofitted?

You'll be sorry you asked! Or rather, everyone else will be cos I'm on my rant box.

Someone reversed into me and dented my passenger door and rear wing so I took it into Pug to fix. A 2 grand job (roof off) and what did I get?

Faults with the repair:

Passenger front wing a different colour cos they'd sprayed that too which made it deeper.

Passenger window didn't fit.

New rear wing stuck out 3mm

FAULTS THAT THEY ADDED
Scratch on my interior
and rear bumper
and driver's rear wing
and :censored: king deep one underneath the driver's door.

Oh I forget the rest. Then in June, went for my 20k service and they opened the door on a wall and chipped the edge!

Bas :censored: rds, all of 'em. I'm never, ever going back - I'll go to our local AA service centre from now on (services don't have to be by franchised dealers to keep your warranty going although Pug might disagree...).

Guys, I have all these features on my car and I personally think that it is not that much of a loss if you don't have the auto lights, you know when it is dark and when it gets dark or light it usually stays like that for a while (apart from tunnels which are usually lit anyway)

As for the auto wipers, these are a must, they work very well and there is nothing more annoying before and after rain when it showers intermittantly and on my cars without auto you are changing the intermittant wiper speed constantly so if there is an auto option on any car I buy in the future I will definately take it.

As for climate control, all I can say is that I like it, but if it was an option I don't know how much I would be willing to pay for it.

One point re the auto wipers, one of the electronics suppliers in Aus (Farnell components) sell a complete automotive auto wiper aftermarket unit for around $85. AUD which may be able to be wired in between the can interface unit and the wiper motor possibly.

Of course the above is only one opinion.

I've got these on my allure (2.0), but haven't got a manual so have had to guess at most of the workings.

Do peugeot ship these direct to your house now or should they have been supplied by the dealer?
