OK it took me an entire day to design, implement and test!!

http://my-old.com

The idea is you enter the details of all cars you used to own and own now. With a bit of luck and time we might start finding some matches, ie people who used to own the same car. Yes it's a shot in the dark, but could be interesting...

Any feedback would be more than welcome! Cheers!

PS whilst it's in beta testing please don't post details of the site anywhere else. When I'm happy that it's stable I'll be asking for that favour ;)

Hmm.. it should only do it the once (as long as you restart afterwards).

It's because it needs the new flash player version 7...

You don't searchfor cars - you enter all your own ex-cars and it'll tell you if there's a match.

The reason for this is that if I let everyone search for cars then they wouldn't be encouraged to enter their own details... so other people couldn't find their cars!

It only take 5 mins to add your cars - go on, you know you want to!

Thanks everyone - we got 18 people in there now, and 25 cars. Probably won't get any matches until we've got about 10,000 members but it's a start!

Anyone got any feedback on the site - recommendations, annoyances etc?

Cheers again!

Well we've now got 33 members and 39 cars registered on the system!

I've just added a car stats section so you can see the make, model and derivitive of all cars currently on the system. Read the news section - http://my-old.com/cars/?mode=news - for more information.

I've also got a another few nice little features that I'll be adding soon. Keep an eye on the site!

D'OH!

I've just moved the site to a better server and messed up the redirection. If you try the link again now it should work.

BTW It's not really ready to accept non-UK reg plates, but have a go anyway!

By the way, is it obvious from the site that I really want you to all add your current cars as well?
