Afternoon all,
I've been offered a few sweetners on my new cc due to the amount of c**kups the dealer have made.
I can either have 250 notes off the price or they will coat the paintwork in some treatment (rrp £380) which will help protect it.
Anyone had this done from a peugeot dealer (I'm thinking its like the diamondbrite job) and have any suggestions as to take it or the cashola?
Help!
Matt

Nice name Matt B
It probably depends on how long you're planning to keep the car.. if you're only keeping it for a year or two then personally I reckon that the paintwork treating will probably be a waste of money.
Can't speak from experience though... I never had the treatment and my car was immaculate when i sold it after 6 months, save a few stone chips on the front of the bonnet which I doubt any treatment would protect it from.

Mt preferred option would be keep the £250. Go see the wash shop manager and ask how much to do car with (insert product brand here). Answer is normally about £25 - £30 but no paper work/guarantee. Basically they don't use a full kit when they prepare a new car and so always have loads spare.
You get shiney car and keep most of the money
PS If all they've offered is £250 off rrp then shop around lots better deals than that to be had.
