During the installation of my ConMatic 40 today, I happen to look under my front driver's seat (I know the conmatic goes in the boot and everything, but somehow I did end up with my head under the front seat!) and noticed a big wire actually plugged into something attached to the bottom of the seat and two other plugs dangling which looked like they fitted the other two sockets also mounted to the underside of the seat. I checked on the passenger side, and the same thing...

If I were to assume this were in case my car were to have the heated seat option put on, it makes me wonder why they went to the effort of seemingly plugging something 'in' to the seat. These aren't actually enabled are they, and I've just missed finding the option for them, or actually had a toasty bum all this time without realising? Or, given the amount of insulation, they look like those big cables used in the Matrix, so when we're driving our CCs, is Peugeot actually controlling our every move to make us feel good about our cars? :)

The car is an 02 2.0SE import from France, fyi.

By the way, the ConMatic is marvellous and does what it says on the box... well, cons the computer anyway. It's so light it almost feels cheap! Cheers Greenday anyway for your service...

Now someone tell me about my seats!! Cheers :)

Yep these wires are in fact the wires for the heated seat option which stupidly isn't an option here in the UK.

That is one option I would def go for if they introduced it.
