could it be the rear blind has been removed. if so you need to slide the blind back across to make the roof work

Good suggestion MVOONG - I had that problem. The blind dislodged somehow and the roof wouldn't go up. Slight panic at first but sorted the cause pretty swiftly.

If closing the roof manually make sure you have someone to help you. It's a bugger doing it by yourself and I wouldn't recommend it.
Cheers

THANKS LYNDON!!

My daft boyfriend :x turned off the ignition while the roof was coming up and it got stuck...we managed to suss the manual operation with the written instructions. However, we couldn't then get the roof to go back down on its own.

Thanks to the video we realised we hadn't put the wee white clips back in place so we did that and all is well!

(And he is out of the doghouse...)

I really really appreciate the help (even if it was from a while ago...)

I haven't really been around for a while....like one of those friends who gets a new boyfriend (ie my CC) then only comes back when they want something....or when they get chucked! Awww.

I love my car and fingers crossed this is the first problem I have had in 2 years...and it was self-inflicted.

Thanks again ;)

Just joined to say thanks for your posts!

On a cold Sunday having just got my Xmas tree home my lid got stuck open!

No off street parking and in London I was kinda panicking.

Warrantee ran out 2 weeks ago.

With your advice and the links to the videos it made it all so simple to get the lid closed and reset the roof. All working fine again!

(Why don't they give those videos out on a CD when you buy the car!!)

Thanks

Neil

Blimey, I wish I had seen Lyndon's video link 2 days ago - I would still have all my nails and a less catastrophic hair do.

Brilliant, thank you.
