They seemed to think it would be September, just in time for all the rain ;) .

Have been debating a cabriolet for a while and the recent hot weather finally helped me convince the girlfriend!

depends on when your mot runs out. if it's the 1/9/03 then you can't do much as i wouldn't expect you to receive your CC by that date if it's only being built on the 27th - it leaves time a bit tight.

as for tax then although you could ask them to cover it they may refuse as you would need to tax the CC anyway.

if you do have 100% confirmation in writing that you would receive it on 1/9/03 then you could demand that they incur any additional expenses you incur although i wouldn't expect they would have given you that. :?:

My car sailed thro the MOT (26) & I have already agreed with the garage I will reclaim the balance of the tax back (i.e. October to February) as I will only tax it for 6 months.
Just so fed up with waiting now it is unreal.

Hi all,

Im new to the Forum here, but I have been reading and Im suffering exactly the Same.

I have ordered the 206cc 2.0 16v Allure which was originally due Mid August. This has been delayed now and keeps being put back. I finally got told last week that the car is built and has a chassis number and it will be here within 7-10 days max. They advised it was in Port in France and is due to be shipped. This was last Monday and the Car is STILL in France. They apparantly Delivered it to the wrong port. Now Im not sure whether Im being lied to, or whether they are generally a bunch of cowboys over in France.

Fair play to Dutton Forshaw though, my MOT ran out on Sept 7th, and they paid for the car to be put through MOT. Couldnt really ask for more off them.

I have now been told the Car will be ready for collection on Thursday of this week (18th Sept). Im sure you will be seeing me post more regularly on these forums also when it arrives. Im currently trying to work out how Im going to get a great ICE install in the car. Look forward to getting to know you all :)

Ordered my 1.6 Allure mid July (one of the last 10 available) for pick up on the 1st Sept. Completion date was originally the 26th August and just one or two days b4 moved to the 3rd. This then moved to the 6th and i was called on tuesday (9th Sept) and told it was complete. When i phoned them yesterday (13th) they said it had arrived in kent, will arrive locally on tues or weds, is booked into workshop on thurs and i should b able to collect on saturday. Yippppeeeeeee!!! :D :D :D :D Fingers crossed
