I'm after a digi camcorder too, will probably get the Sony TRV14, new model and costs about the same the Panny. IMO can't go wrong with a sony.

As for Empire direct, what can i say other than don't do it. They aren't the best in terms of delivery, customer services or even having the items in stock!! But i suppose thats not everyones experience but be warned there are a lot of unhappy customers out there. But have to agree they have very good prices
will give the sony one the once over :D

ah will have to be careful then :?

mini-dv comes in cassette form, not sure what's in it but you seem only to get 60mins on each cassette and 90mins in longplay mode :?
