Does anyone else have a problem with there rear quarter windows leaking ? Mine car has been in twice to have this 'problem' fixed and I thought they managed it the second time, but I was wrong they have started leaking again!!

The glass on the inside of the car seems to be fogging up and there is water forming on the inside of the glass and drops of water in the sill, was this put in because there is no way to stop the leaks???

But this is a minor leak compared to some other peoples problems....

But don't get me wrong even with all the minor faults this is a great little car, and I would not change it for the world.

Cheers.

J.

Hi Jeff

Had the same problem. Mine was the left rear. Only arose after I asked the dealer to realign the passenger door which was difficult to close. After, the door closed smoothly, but got a little puddle on the rear passenger seat. Appear to be coming in where the window top met the rubber. Next trip in they fixed it, but the door is harder to close ... more like a harder slam but still better than a wet rear set.

Cheers

the doors on my replacement CC are harder to close but never in a million years will i complain about it as i know they will just swap it for a leak

the way i see it is:

easy to close doors - water pours in

hard to close doors - no water (i think)

My leak is fixed but door is harder to close so I live with it. When you have aclimatised yourself you don't notice.

It's just leaking from the rear windows only the front windows are fine..

With regards the doors that you have to slab to close, mine was fixed by lowering the front windows a little and they are both fine now.

A test to see if you have a problem is to hold the door handle up whilst closing the door and look at the glass where is clears the roof seal (there is a thicker bit of roof seal that causes the problem) the door should shut without any force.

Hope this helps.

Has anyone had problems with there rear windows leaking only??

Hi Jeff
On my first cc I used to get condensation sometimes on the bottom of the rear windows. I must admit I didnt do anything about it though. Strangely I dont get it on the new one so maybe it is something to do with the seals.

Just to update you all my rear windows are now fixed after just under a week in the garage!

But I also had the mesh grill fitted and it looks FANTASTIC, I highly recommend it.

Roll on the good weather!!!!
