Our 206 CC turned up today.

Only thing is, I ordered a 2.0 SE with Metallic Silver paint and Black/Red leather seats.

The car that has turned up is an Allure. The dealer assures me that the Allure is just a 2.0 SE with metallic paint and leather seats. No other changes.

Can someone confirm this. Have I been done? or have I got a better/same deal???

Anyway, the car is lovely. Been out tonight with the roof down - almost raining!

You probably get more on the allure - all you need to do is whip that badge off the side and you have an SE with a few extra options ;)

By the way, I paid £15,200 for it.

What other options are you referring to?

The allure is cheaper than the SE! lets hope they didnt charge for an SE and give you an allure!

Think thats the right price for an allure, the SE comes out about 17K

Yeas, but I originally got the £15,200 deal based on the list price of the SE.

me thinx they have conned u :D even although the allure is more or less exactly the same as an SE with leather this is reflected in future resale values. it will be an allure and not an SE when it comes to trading it in and the dealer will base the trade-in price based on what you paid for it.

I thought £15200 was a good price for either an allure or an SE. Imports are going for about £14500 plus at the mo. But derek is right about the resale value though, but then again you are getting it cheap, and i don't think there will be that big a difference anyway

So are there ANY differences (apart from badge) between teh allure and the SE whatsoever? If so what are they?

I thought that the allure had a slightly higher spec?

If so, then this will make it more desirable, meaning that more people would like to buy it second hand, meaning that it will be worth more.

What price you paid is irrelevant - the onlycars that are devalued are those that flood the market, or are imported

We paid £15,205 for our Black 2.0 SE limited edition, including a 6 disc autochanger and a rubber boot tray. Bargain!
The good thing is that list for this was quite a bit higher, and at trade in a buyer won't know that it didn't originially cost list price. Therefore not to much depreciation for us to cope with.
:)
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.
