Hi

Never had another CC owner wave at me. I once waved like mad at this gorgous blonde in a silver CC on the M1, but she never waved back. :(

She probably thought I was mad, especially as I was heading towards the central barrier as I was looking at her instead of the road.

Any gorgous blondes in the Leeds area please wave at me (but not when my g/f is in the car), Im the guy in the Balck CC with 10inch exhaust.

I'll give you a wave! Have waved at 2 people in Leeds so far and either they haven't seen me or just thought I was a total fruit! I only ever get waved/honked at by lorry drivers or workmen. And a fire-engine once, but I was quite chuffed about that!!! :D :D :D
Lovin it! Specially when the roof doesn't leak;)

I know I'm the odd one out here but I have to be honest. I don't get this obsession that you guys have with waving at other CC drivers. You don't wave at people who wear the same shirt as you or the same trainers or get on the same bus that you might get on so why do you do it?

I realise you see it as sociable but then why don't you wave at everyone if you like to be friendly? I didn't buy a CC to be part of a happy, waving community, I bought it because I wanted one. It is kind of embarassing when people do it to you but then I'm quite self conscious and shy unfortunately.

poor toot....

When I drive my CC I am always smiley and happy and bouncy, listening to great music and having the best time.

If anyone looks over at me, I will smile back at them. If they smile I will wave. If they are cute, and my new boyfriend isn't in the car, I will wink before I take off at the lights and they eat my dust!!!

So, yes, I do smile and wave at everyone, not just CC owners.

You need to relax girl, enjoy your car, let it show on your face, and let the world know it too. When people see you smiling and happy they will either be jealous ~ pfffft to them, or they will smile too.

The more people that smile and wave, the more happy feelings everyone has.

*good deed for the day done, feels the warm and fuzzies, smiles at pc and then heads out for another day shopping :)*

If only more CC drivers were like that . . .

It just makes driving a gorgeous car even more fun trying to see if other CC'ers (or in fact anyone!) will acknowledge you!!!

Where in the UK can we get the happy pills that you get in Oz, Seal?

Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

DON'T GIVE UP!!!!!

Don't let the spirit go..... let the insanity run free.....

And of course, don't forget that if they look at you with that utter blank look or sneer or whatever..... you have two choices....

Go crosseyed and stick your tongue out at them....

or

If window is up, blowfish!!!!!!
(for those unfamiliar with a blowfish, that is when you kiss the glass and inflate your cheeks and mouth as much as you can)

The look on their faces then is utterly PRICELESS!!!!!

Try it sometime, I guarantee that you will laugh yourself stupid and feel great for the rest of the day and continue to giggle whenever you think about it!!!

For those that are going to ask.....
Yes, I have done both, on several occasions.

*don't forget to wipe the lipstick from the glass before it dries too much though, otherwise its a pain in the butt to get off*

I used to live on Ascension Island, a tiny volcanic (thankfully extinct!) rock in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean (about 200 miles south of the equator, roughly halfway between Brazil an dAfrica if anyone cares). The population of the island is very small. Everyone waves to everyone else in a vehicle at all times. It is the rules!! If for some reason you don't wave, you are treated as a social pariah in the bar that night (the island only has 3 bars :( ) The problem with all this wavy happiness begins when you get back to the UK, jump into your hirecar and hit the roads of Britain once more. And continue waving to every single car on the road....not only do you probably look a loony but you get an awful cramp in your waving hand. Which for guys can be bad thing. If you do things other than wave with that particular hand. Am I rambling? Sorry its nearly 5a.m.
oh well. It beats arguing with Erm I sppose. Thats boring anyway (despite PMs to the contrary - you know who you are....:P Stop stirring! )

G'night
