Dunno why we even bother replying to your threads, your always negative in the extreme no matter what subject/ people say/ come up with.
If you say so

I asked on here because I'd exhausted all the possibilities in my own mind first. Although I admit the Volvo C70 isn't one I'd thought of -- not sure I could persuade the missus to drive one though (it's a Volvo...)

I also thought I'd highlight the problem that if you want a 'family sized' convertible there isn't a lot of choice. It's basically only BMW/Merc/Audi/Volvo/Saab. The old Audi cabrio looks dated IMHO, as do any of the Mercs that I could get for sensible money (square headlight versions).

Maybe with the introduction of more folding steel roof cars we'll have more of a choice in the future -- although the ones coming out seem to be at the smaller end of the market (Megane, Micra, Corsa -- even the 307 isn't that big).

Maybe we should just keep the CC.... :D

Or have TWO cc's? You drive 1 with 2 kids and the missus can drive the other with the other kid. Sorted ;)

Or, if you're going shopping, FOR CHRISTS SAKE LEAVE THE DAMN KIDS AT HOME!!!! ;)

NOTHING annoys me more than parents who take kids to supermarkets! Especially when both parents are there! Why doesnt one of them stay at home to look after the children and save my ears/temper?!?

Don't get me wrong, I like 206CCs but I'd draw the line at having two :D

Or there's the new coupe convertible Lexus
Though from what I've seen there's not much room in the back of that either, even though the car is about half as long again as a 206cc...
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

Or there's the new coupe convertible Lexus
...which aside from, IMHO, being hideously ugly is also ludicrously expensive! Over £50k new, IIRC

I didn't realise that. Might explain why the salesman was looking at me "In A Funny Way"

I had a close look at a Lexus coupe thing the other week. It was nicer than I thought close up having seen a few on the road and thought they were :yuck:

There isn't much more room (if any) in the back compared with the 206cc and with a price tag of £50k its slightly out of my price range too ;)
ex owner Ni 'cc' k who can't log in anymore :(

Have you thought of a VW golf convertible. VW's are usually really reliable and great family cars.

I personally wouldn't go for this option,

but you could (in theory) go for a convertible jeep or landrover something!

Bags of room. And really useful if you're driving around Sutton and suddenly the road is blocked by a huge muddy hill!

Mental note to start new topic -- reasons I hate huge 4x4s driving around London with some small housewife taking her 2 kids to school in it!

Citroen C3 Pluriel anyone? At least have a look at one in the metal. Not sure where you stash the roof rails when you want to go completely open...perhaps they are skis in disguise?
