Four seater convertible?

I asked on here because I'd exhausted all the possibilities in my own mind first. Although I admit the Volvo C70 isn't one I'd thought of -- not sure I could persuade the missus to drive one though (it's a Volvo...)

I also thought I'd highlight the problem that if you want a 'family sized' convertible there isn't a lot of choice. It's basically only BMW/Merc/Audi/Volvo/Saab. The old Audi cabrio looks dated IMHO, as do any of the Mercs that I could get for sensible money (square headlight versions).

Maybe with the introduction of more folding steel roof cars we'll have more of a choice in the future -- although the ones coming out seem to be at the smaller end of the market (Megane, Micra, Corsa -- even the 307 isn't that big).

Maybe we should just keep the CC....

NOTHING annoys me more than parents who take kids to supermarkets! Especially when both parents are there! Why doesnt one of them stay at home to look after the children and save my ears/temper?!?

Though from what I've seen there's not much room in the back of that either, even though the car is about half as long again as a 206cc...

...which aside from, IMHO, being hideously ugly is also ludicrously expensive! Over Â£50k new, IIRC

I personally wouldn't go for this option,

but you could (in theory) go for a convertible jeep or landrover something!

Bags of room. And really useful if you're driving around Sutton and suddenly the road is blocked by a huge muddy hill!

Mental note to start new topic -- reasons I hate huge 4x4s driving around London with some small housewife taking her 2 kids to school in it!

Citroen C3 Pluriel anyone? At least have a look at one in the metal. Not sure where you stash the roof rails when you want to go completely open...perhaps they are skis in disguise?
