Spanner thingy......

On the mileage display in my pre-multiplex CC the spanner symbol has come up even tho i've only done 11,500 miles

it still comes up saying 8500 miles till next service when i turn the car on, but the spanner stays there

any ideas why????

is your service due soon erm ?

i guess your car is close to 2 years old (about september ?) so instead of working on the 20k miles it will be working on the basis of the service being due after 2 years.

ummmm car is 2 years old in september but it dont have a date on the dash display only the time so it shouldn't know that

Cos its a VERY clever car that's why!! Ours says service due in so many miles, but that doesn't add up to 20k

Already had its first service before we got it so don't think ours is due till next June

just because the car doesn't tell u the date doesn't mean it doesn't know it itself

Have you not got that sorted since our day out!.

I had a service a week after my second year and my spanner didnt come on. Think Erm you thrashed it too much and its telling you to take him to the quacks! Bless (oops).
