Hi all.
Did anyone go to this? I know Stuart was going to. If you did, did you enjoy it?
Personally, I thought it was shite. Waited too long for any acts to come on. The sound going off through Cypress Hill (not a fan of them but they did their best bless 'em). The fact that it was more a D12 and 50 Cent show than an Eminem show. Him not finishing any of the songs (how can he justify not doing the last 2 verses of Stan?!?!?!). Him singing over pre-recorded lyrics and not finishing lines in some instances and letting the pre-recorded tune do it. No onstage entertainment (how dull is it just watching a few blokes standing on a stage!). no entertainment between songs (just back to back tunes with about 1 instance of crowd involvement).
And above all, the usual crap trying to get out of the bloody car park and onto the M1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
never again, glad I didn't actually pay for the ticket.

I'm 26 Erm, why, do I sound really old?????
I actually like a fair bit of Eminems stuff, especially the new tracks. He seems to be maturing a lot. I reckon he can cut the mustard live though if he is on form. Watching him do Stan with Elton John at the Grammies was what made me first realise he had a bit of talent and I've liked him since then (although I'm not a die-hard fan). Its just that this show seems to be a vehicle for him to promote 50 Cent and D12. I know D12 is his band etc but, at the end of the day, i went to see an Eminem concert and here my favourite tunes. If I wanted to see 50 cent perform "Birthday", or whatever its called, I'll go to a 50 Cent concert.
Would look forward to seeing what Erm thinks of him after the monday gig

I saw ihm at Leeds festival a few years back and he was exactly as toot described. He did small bits (less than 1 minute) of all the popular songs that people know interspersed with loads of boring rapping/D12 stuff that no one knew.
At a dedicated Eminem gig with everyone being his fan that may be acceptable, but at a music festival where you have all sorts of people who like different things I really think he should have stuck with the popular stuff.
The best band by FAR that year was Green Day - f8&k me they were fantastic!

Yep I've seen them live twice now. The first time in Leeds was the best, then I saw them in Nottingham and wasn't as good - probably because the venue was crap, beer was expensive and I was in a bad mood!Well said Matt, going to a Green Day gig blew me away, i loved them before but after seeing them (and i've seen a fair few others) no one even comes close live in my opinion
Also I was wayyyy more drunker in Leeds
The other bands that have made an impression on me are:
1. Guns n Roses last year at Leeds - fantastic, shame Axl & Dizzy are the only originals!
2. Metallica - Donington, about 7 years ago
3. Less Than Jake - last year at Leeds - never heard their stuff before, and they had a great stage presence!
4. Marilyn Manson - I think 2 yrs back at Leeds - not bothered yb his music at all but his stage act was great!

Agreed about venue making all the difference, Less than Jake are also a class act live, also others to watch out for live a Offspring and Me first and the gimme gimmes, i went to see Offspring play at wembly a few years back and the venue weren't great for a punk gig but Offspring put on a hell of a show, also when i for the tickets the warm act was printed as "and guests" then it was until the gig had started i found out it was me first and the gimme gimmes supporting, i thought i'd died and gone to heaven, but the best gig ever was Green day at the london Astoria 27/9/98, everything about the evening was perfectYep I've seen them live twice now. well i just got back from milton keynes and i must say i enjoyed the show personally.
Xzibit was full of energy and gave a great performance
Cypress hill great entertainers
Eminem and D12 were off the hook and he played all of his well known songs and was not mouthing over pre recorded words....
only dissapointment of the night was that 50 sent wasnt there......
but eminem did give a $450,000 piece of jewlery to someone in the crowd.... wot a bloke!!!!!

Two of my mates had tickets for the gig, drove to Milton Keynes, queued up for about 15 minutes, saw all the freaks that were also queuing and decided then and there they would rather go to the pub, so sold their tickets to a tout, making £20 profit each, and left...apparently fighting the flow of traffic was an experience. I personally would have liked to have gone, however I agree with the above comments - I have no interest in seeing D12, 50 pence or any of those other "Eminem Stable" acts...
