Bored today so decided I'd take the car somewhere quiet to check the 0-60mph timings.

Out of 4 runs, adverage was 4.8 seconds from 0-60mph - in line with official figures - but back feels like I've been kicked by a camel :(

I managed to get a 4.5 second on one run, but only with my ESP turned off.

How did you time it while driving, sounds damn dangerous if you were on your own ;)

The way I did it. There's a long straight deserted piece of level road near me, its an entry road to the motorway that people hardly use. I used a stop watch in left hand, eye on the instument binnicle, right hand on steering wheel, floor the quickshift auto and hey presto! Not the most technical way, but pretty well accurate over 4 runs and it all happens in a flash.

Well it satisfied my curiosity and filled in a little time anyway. But where did I put my back painkiller tablets :(

Nice times indeed ;)
Try to measure 1/4mile time (or what it's claimed to be?).
Mine 1/4mile time was 13.8 (and yep it wasn't a CC...)

Love to try that Jussi but I'd run out of safe road. Nice time though.

I remember trying it in the 2.0L CC and getting about 8.7 seconds from 0-60mph, that seemed fast. Wonder if thats the fastest timed CC.

your method you can easily be a second or 2 out. why not try it with some legit equipment. :P
