Help! Have just got new hoops from Derek - Thanks mate
- they are fab, and now I want to fit them - have trawled thru the forum and found loads of instructions, but I seem to have one problem
THE SEAT BACK WILL NOT SLIDE OUT grrrr it is HOT
outside and I am getting all red and cross struggling with the seat and I'm not getting anywhere!!!! PLEASE help me - I remember seeing a web page that had pictures to show what to do - I'm a visual learner (ie need to see it with my own eyes in very easy steps...
) so can anyone point me in the right direction??
Thanks
Thanks

Can't remember any pictures. But I hope the following insrtuctions help. Alway put roof down to do hoops
To move seat backs only.
This require quite a bit of force. Push hands in between base of seat back and seat bench and pull up. The seat back is secured on two hooks at top and a bolt at bottom. The bolt is fixed through a slot. This allow the seat back to be moved up to lift it of the hooks but it remains bolted at the bottom. Once lifted of the hooks the seat back can be pulled forward to give access to the hoop bolts but it remains fixed at the bottom. The bolts for the hoops (2no. per hoop) appear abbout 150mm below the hoop
I found access to the bolts limited and found it quicker with a socket wrench to remove seats completely
To remove Seats
Push car seats forward, open car doors, get down on you knees an look into the rear foot well nearest you. Just under the front edge of the seat bench (it one peice) you will find a bolt. If you could sit in the back it would be just between the back of your calves. Undo this bolt. Repeat the operation on other side (there are two bolts). Lift out seat bench. At the base of each of the seat back you will see a bolt similar to that holding the bench. Remove these. Lift up seat back to remove much easier when you have undun the bolt. You can now get at the hoop bolts more easily.

When I fitted my amp wiring I found it a bit of a pain to take the seat backs off without removing the bench first as Duncan says. Also I'm not sure if the seat backs are actually designed to come out with the bench first.
Basically I strongly suggest removing the bench (two obvious bolts underneath) then loosening the bolt at the botom of the seat back, then the seat back slides easily.
