Buy some strips of velcro, and in about 10 seconds you can make straps to hold whatever you want in the boot stable (velcro sticks straight to the carpet).
I have my spare can of petrol now securely fastened in the back along with a CD case full of CDs .. and if you buy black velcro, it all looks really professional like Peugeot did it and it's meant to be there!
Peugeot do a net for the boot it cost about 15 pounds. Another idea is to cut slits in the carpet and run longer velcroe straps through. Like they do for the jack and tyre filler. I have done this for my amps so that I can replace them quickly when they blow up.
Pug dealers also do heavy bars which attach to the carpet in the boot with velcro to stop things sliding around. I will have a dig around and try to find some images and prices.
I used to put everything in collapsable storage boxes I got from my local tesco. but now use just one unibox type carrier as my spare wheel takes up half the boot floor.

Or go into any bike dealers and buy a cargo net for about a fiver, which are popular for bungeeing stuff onto pillion seats They come with hooks that you can hook into those metal loops that are in each corner of the carpet.
