I don't see the point, personally...

I actually quite like the idea! I had one on my AC Cobra replica. I know it sounds silly but starting it up was something special so it was nice to have it as an action all of it own. If it was on the ignition key you could "miss the moment" by turning the key to far! But like most "custom" things, to each his own. Cheers

Yuk! How awful & old geezer-ish !
Had a Renault Laguna hire car last year & that had a credit card jobby & started by pressing a button. I was quite done up with the card, but the press button thingy? Smacks of an old-mans car, not like ours............?
But, I spose', if that turns you over, what about a Ford egh?

maddy,

Would like the rs focus but cant afford the 20k price tag - well could at a push , definately couldn't stand the 3-6 month wait as they are limited edition , and theres nothing more old mannish these days than starting your car with a key when you can do a million and one things on your pc for example with the push of a button.

Btw are u sure you should include ur reg in ur sig, I know no-one on here would use it for illegitimate purposes , but anyone in the world can access this site . 2 friends of mine have received fines / summonses for cloned reg no's. Only some friendly advice.

My mate has a Scooby and as part of the alarm the engine can start remotely from about 15 foot away! Always baffles me when I am walking up to it and the engine roars (and boy does it roar)
