someone mentioned the oldest CC

that would be Y 882 BBC, my first one. This was the first customer car on the road in the UK. So if anyone sees it on the road wave to the old timer, the car I mean as the woman who had it after me was no spring chicken either.

The next oldest was Simon from Pugsport - remember him anyone

after that it was certainly Lyndons.

awwww, i ,issed forum rowing

Any of the 'oldies' been away for ages then came back? i did that with the pug106 forum i used to use and didnt like it at all.

All the old guys had been replaced by 17 year olds in 1.1's that asked the SAME DAMN QUESTION nearly every week (usually how they could fit a 9 litre twin turbo with nos under the bonnet

I was around when you didn’t need to log in to the forum. I only used to have access to a PC at work. So was a bit peeved when we had to start logging in :x . I used to risk it sometimes on nights, but kept forgetting the password and user names. There used to be some well funny posts back then. Helped to keep me awake on nights.

What date did the forum start?

I can remember getting a link to it from the Pugsport site, which was a few months before the first CC's came out. So pre Feb 2001. In fact it was my local dealer that gave me the web address for Pugsport.

I was a lurker for a while before I joined, and yes I do remember the first of the three forum versions. It's amazing how much it has grown since then. And there was speedboy's forum as well. It certainly made the long wait until I was able to buy bearable, and the odd bit of good advice here and there too. Not to mention the good comedy and cool people.

:D
