Aghhhhhh its horrible.
My car has been picked up by the Monkeys for its first service.
Now all I have to do is wait till they return it but its like I am waiting for my exam results!!!

Isn't it a horrible sight watching someone else drive your car away!!!!
(Ok you could have said well why didnt you take it yourself - but the whole courtesy car thing was only available in the year 2006!)

errr, Why every 20,000 miles/2 years ?

It needs a visit to the car doctors annually :(

6,000 free inspection
20,000 service A
30,000 free inspection
40,000 service C
50,000 free inspection

repeat from 20,000 - 50,000 ad infinitum.

Also says that the brake must be changed in addition to the service every 2 years (this is correct on all vehicles to avoid moisture in the brake/clutch fluid).

Still a major improvement service interval wise over and above every other car I've owned.

Cheers

Only if you do that amount of miles in a year!!

Mine is 2 on 23rd June (He'll be a big boy!) and as of today just hit 12100 miles.

Basically had the 6month inspection service and this year will be my first service ouch!!

I have this to look forward to on Friday 2nd. 20,000k service, adjust the seat so it latches correctly and realign rear window to stop it catching the wind. :(

It is being collected too so I have to put up with someone else driving my car

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Why are the monkeys sooooooo cr*p!

Just (after I thought it was all too good to be true) had a phone call from the Monkeys asking for payment of £126
I said I agreed the price of £106 as they price matched the original quote that Lyndon had on here and then as I bought the car from them they gave me a voucher for £20 off the service meaning it would be £106.
This was all agreed but now the Director has realised that no 2 offers can be used at the same time so they are arguing that I can either have the £20 off the original price of the service which is about £145 or have the service for the reduced rate of £126.
Ummmmmmm NO was my reply. So now the Director is doing some ringing around and will call me back!
AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

ok update:
Peugeot have refused to accept both offers and I had a blazing row on the phone to the Director of the dealership over the sake of £20 and whether he would match the £106 quoted by someone on here. The wouldnt back down so I have made it clear they have lost any possible future business.
Its not the money side that I am worried about as they collected and hopefully will drop my car back to me (in one piece!) but the fact that I wanted to get across the fact that Pug customer service sucks!!!
Ah well - another dealer struck off the list!!!

Maybe we should have a section of the site dedicated to peple's experiences of various dealers. This would HAVE to be factual only, not opinions for legal reasons I think!!!!

There is already a good dealer and "could do better" dealer section here.
I seem to have worked my way through half a dozen "could do better" dealers so what does that tell you about Pug Customer Service!?

I got my car returned valeted in and out so I am not worried bout the extra £20 but the fact that he waffled on about them not accepting 2 offers (no where on the voucher book does it say not to be used in conjunction to another offer) but also how they would quote me the better price to get the business but then go back on their word when I went to pay. Obviously I can't do anything more as its their word against mine.

Now the biggest test is - do the brakes STILL squeak!

The invoice mentions the following:
Oil Filter £7.46
Sump seal £1.15
Pollen Filter £8.64
Screen Conc (whatever that is) £1.15
Semi Synthetic £24.75
Enviro and Consumables £3.00

Total Labour £61.08
Total sundries £27.75
Total Parts £18.40
Total £107.23
Vat £18.77
Grand total £126.00

Hope this helps you if you are needing to book your car in for the 20000k service :)

As I can't call the dealer back up (had a full blown arguement with them!) can someone help answer what and why I had a Sump seal, and what Enviro Consumables are!?
Thanks :D

Sump seal is the little washer that goes around the sump plug. The plug is removed to let the old oil out and the washer on it cannot be used again. t Enviro Consumables I am not sure but at my work it would include grease on hinges and wd40 on locks etc

I've just checked my warranty book again and its definitely there crystal clear. Car is to be in the garage every year or 10,000 (whichever is the sooner) for either a service or checkup regardless of mileage.

Also brake fluid is mentioned as a seperate job every 2 years regardless of mileage. I know from previous exoperience of low mileage motors in my garage that leaving it much longer tends to mean poorly performing brakes as condensation forms in the reservoir.

Cheers
