OK, so in a desperate attempt to get my postings up I'd like to ask a non-Peugeot question (sort of).

My car is 1 week old tomorrow and touch wood is still going fine but one day it will have to go to dealership. Ignoring the fact it's an import, what sort of service do you get from a Pug dealership?

Do you get a courtesy car (sometimes/always/never). Do they clean it for you while it's there? I know we have other brand owners here. I'd also be interested to know what the experience is like with other manufactures.

For the record, Alfa at SGT Taplow never gave me a courtesy car (but to be fair I never asked for one). They cleaned the car (did forget to do the wheel once) and leave you with a box of sweets and a postage paid reply car for you to rate the garage on service, etc, etc,

When I had a Rover they sort of cleaned it. They did actually pick it up from my office. In general though I didn't think they were worth to 2K that got spent on the car in 12 months (needless to say, none of which was covered by the warrenty I bought!). Maybe I'm paranoid but I always get the feeling I'm being shafted at a dealership but at least they could smile while they take my money! :) CHeers

and yt the flip side is my delaership are brilliant. they clean the car, they give me a cutosy car if they have one available. If I drop the car of the night before the lock it away in the service garage because of all my stero equipment. They answer the phone promptly, they all know my name and they call me when it's time to collect it.
cant fault them for anything.

Hmm....and they leave a brown paper envelope stuffed full of cash in your glovebox in order for you to keep saying these things as well i bet?

My pug dealer had a car for me though i had to wait, but never cleaned the car during it's 6 visits. in fact there are still oilly finger marks behind the visors from when they fixed the roof. but at least they did fix it (After some shouting and getting Peugeot involved)

As for Alfa, they give you a full valet, inside and out, and insist that you take another alfa as a courtesy car (not a crappy fiat) But they prob with them is they don't fox your problems and they charge you an arm and a leg for parts and labour.

Ni'cc'K , what dealer do you use ?

Sounds like Dutton Forshaw Cardiff to me , but you didn't mention anything about them reclining the seats to a woman in labour position and filling the car with pasty crumbs
