I really want to put my ICE from the old car into the new one.
Would this effect my warrenty?
I have only had the car for a week so a little worried about doing it myself. I would/maybe/might get it done by the pro's (depending on cost).
But reading alot of these posts, it seems easy enough???????
I want to relpace the headunit with a Kenwood one (it's not that old and has D-mask, automatic).
Also wish to change the front speakers.

I guess the Stalk isn't going to work and the console display?
Is there a Headunit around that would support both of these Peugeot features if it doesn't. Kind of like a simple plug and play (childs play installation)?

I want to do the same but after reading all the post here i dont think it worth the trouble.
Stalk and display wont work - no third part head unit will just fit straight in ( not even clarion unit ). although i know there are adapter for Sonys. :x
Oki if you can live without the stalk and display you have another trouble with multiplex model when it switches itself to economy mode, apparently you have to get to service people to program the BSI, i ask my service here in AU and they just scratch their heads... argggg! then it come to the 4 speakers output vs 6 speakers setup of the car... so got to get a splitter for the 2 tweeter as well ... oki enough rambling... have i put you off yet
I thought to begin with I was really happy with the speakers (not the headunit). It's only since I started to turn the volume up! on my fav tunes.
It's crap compared to my I.C.E in the old Citroen AXGT. I spent over £1500 for that old rusty car and knowing now that I havnt got a hope in hell in transferring it all.
Oh well, I'll sleep it off today (finish night shift very soon) and think about it again tonight.

My Kenwood standard ISO headunit went straight in - no fascia adapters, ISO wiring adapters or anything were needed. What I did have to do is re-wire the ignition power and illumination power which took about an hour once I'd figured out what needed to be done.
As for replaceing the speakers, the front mids & tweeters can be replaced with nice components (I'll be doing mine with £130 Kenwoods when I have chance) which should make a massive difference. The backs can also be replaced with standard sized speaerks, but I've heard from people that it's often not worth it.
Apparently Sony have some stuff on the way for attaching the the stalk & display adapter. Rumours were around that Kenwood were doing the same, but you may need to check this out.
As for the boot, it's easy to run wires from the headunit area to the boot for CD changers, line outs to amps etc. The trickier bit is getting a wire to the engine bay for an amp, but with a bit of guidance this can easily be done.
The best thing to do is listen to someone's CC who has a nice ICE setup and see for yourself. For me the quality of sound is much more important than having to look at the radio rather than the multi display to see what radio channel I'm on!
1. On post-Nov01 models, no fascia adapter is needed. It will accept any standard DIN unit.
2. Reprogramming the BSI is not necessary.
3. A wiring harness adapter may be required - £2-ish from Pug.
4. The switched 12V supply can be taken from the cigarette lighter socket supply.
5. The illumination (dimmer) line can be taken from the ashtray light supply. Steps 4 & 5 take about 10 minutes.
6. Sony units have a Pug stalk remote adapter.
7. Kenwood Pug remote adapters are in development.
It took me 1/2 hour to install my Kenwood one evening by the light of the courtesy lamp. It's really not that difficult. Speakers took about a day - probably half that now I know what I'm doing.
i've got one for sale .. its actually a connects2 unit that makes the stalk work with sony head units. I bought it 2nd hand but never got to fit it cause the supra came along.
