hi all.

getting some amps and a sub fitted soon and i realise that the back seat needs to be removed. Does the roof need to be down for this???

I'm having it done by installers and don't fancy having to teach them how to do it then leaving them putting it up and down all day running down my battery etc.

Can the seats be removed without doing any damage witht he roof up?

Thanks guys.

The seats can be removed regardless of the roof. There are two bolts under the bench (one on each side). Once these have been removed, you can just pull the bench out. Then there's a bolt for each seat back. Easy!

you've told me about the bolts before, I was just wondering if its possible with the roof up. I assume the backs slide upwards and there isn't much room between them and the roof. just don't want them breaking anything :D

Thanks Matt.

Yeah you can do it with the roof up. The back seats do slide upwards slightly before comnig loose, but only a few inches. There's plenty of room there.

Personally I found it easier to do with the roof down anyway as you can lean over and run the wires through, but it's not essential.

ok. I'm not fussed how easy it is for them as they are being paid to do the job. I just don't want them fiddling with the roof. If it can be done with the roof up, I don't care if they find it fiddly, thats what I'm paying them big money for.

Thanks again MattB, helpful as always :)
