Unless you want to offer silly money to someone who already has them...

Why not? If someone offers me silly money, they can have mine as well. I'm quite happy to sell mine for a hefty sum and then wait 8 weeks for new ones. Supply & demand.

:( Whatever Ecosse tell you add on five weeks and about £45. I paid £176 inc VAT and was told I would receive mine 10th Jan . I am still waiting.

getting boring garnett - you knew they were on the way going by the post you made at the end of last week

the hoops from ecosse were 3-4 weeks late, they were originally due 3rd/4th week of january - delay was due to supplier problems.

you don't add £45 to their price - you add VAT and delivery as it clearly states.

i do have two sets of chrome hoops available for immediate delivery - price available on request by e-mailing pughoops@aol.com

do not e-mail me if you previously ordered a set then let me down by dropping out as i had committed myself to buying them then had to find new buyers as a result.

The last word on hoops

I'm afraid I must correct you Derek.
As i said before , when I ordered my hoops on 31 dec I was told by Ecosse I would r :receive them on the 10th Jan , they told me that they were in stock . When I did not receive on the 10th I rang them and they told me my hoops were reserved for someone else . This says clearly to me that Ecosse were to blame for the Cock up , it was not supplier problems. I indeed had to wait for the next delivery (3rd/4th week of January ), which turned up today . And on price I asked Ecosse on the 31/12 for a total price , which I was quoted £154 .When I checked the transaction on my credit card I had been charged £176 , on contacting Ecosse they told me that they should have told me the price was exclusive of VAT , that's not my definition of total.

Anyway they have apologised but i still feel disappointed with their service and will consider whether or not to use them again carefully . It's the first impression you get of an organisation that determines whether or not you deem them professional and competant . In my opinion this was not a good first impression.

the price on their website states £130 + VAT = £152.75 + p&p

at the end of the day, i'm getting a bit bored with this and you have your hoops so lets draw an end to this :)

Here is a copy of my email received from ecosse when i asked about hoops:
Martin

The Lexus lights cost £140+VAT and the hoops are £130+VAT, delivery
would be £10+VAT. The parts are fairly simple to fit as they just
replace the standard items, Give us a call on 01506 516 106 for more
info or to order.

Regards

Tony
Now i can't speak for anyone else, but they were open about prices being + VAT and + delivery from the start with me, so cant really see them giving out duff information. If they appologised to you then presumably you either told them it was OK or are taking it up with them. If you said it was OK then it is really not right that you should continue to slate them after acceptoing their appology. If you didn't, then surely you should take it up with them, rather than hassling Derek about it?
