if you wanna give your self more grip on the start .. lower your tyre pressure. becuase the tyre is flatter theres more surface area, but as you pull away the air heats up and as you progress less and less tyre is on the road. thats the whole point of burnouts really.
but top nod to you for doing a quarter, I was going to join in with some hill climb fun last year but bottled it .. wish i had now.

In reality, it would be a lot easier if the engine drove the other end instead. The problem with quick launches in FWD cars is that no matter how stiff the suspension is, the weight transfer under acceleration brings the weight off the driven wheels. Porsches have good standing start characteristics because all the heavy bits (engine and gearbox) are over the driven rear wheels.[The limiting factor isn't the engine it's the suspension. To get the really fast times you need to completely avoid wheel-spin and, in this respect, the 206cc's suspension just isn't up to the job.
If you had more than 1 reverse gear, you'd get a better time going backwards
Steering would be a bit difficult though

Did anyone see the CC in this months FASTCAR?
Well on the feature theres a wee bit where fast car have worked out that the fastest time a CC could do the 1/4 mile in with a perfect start etc in 18.3 secs!
So my 17.9 secs for my 1st time was not that cringworthy afterall!
Its made my day!
