:D Yeah , but make sure it's silicon based not petroleum , I used rocol but only becuse we use it in work , think i heard about stuff in yellow tins from halfords.

Funnily enough my roof started creaking today for the first time , on the drivers side above the window a good greasing is needed

So you just apply it to the rubbers?,do you open the roof and apply it to roof seals as well.
I think it may due to the cold weather, because i cant remember it creaking as bad when it was warmer

First , I lowered the front and back windows and applied to the roof rubbers above where the windows seal with a rag , only a light smear , then I opened the roof half way and applied to seal between moving part of roof and stationary , then the seal on the cantilever on the back of the roof above the screen section . but remember to leave the ignition on when the roof is half open - the beeping drives u crazy but if you turn it off the roof goes all floppy and the sections crash towards eachother. Lucky there were 2 of us there at the time to stop this happening.

i just realized a couple of months ago that in the handles, there is a small rubber pad in the form of a small circle that avoids the contact with the plastic handle and the metal hoop, when you are in motion, the pad moves against the metal hoop and plastic handle and it will eventually be destroyed, then, you´ll get the squeaky or cracking noise comming from the roof, so what i did, i went to tne office depot and bought some small rubber feet so i could fit the in that place, now, i havent had the noises again, plus i still apply the silicone on the rubber seals, now every time i´ll get the noises, i know i have to replace the smmal rubber feet.
hope this works.
cheers :)
