I installed the following:
KFC-1077 - rear - direct replacement - kept original wiring
KFCP-703 - front and tweeter - have to cut plastic trim in door - new wiring - must glue door grommits after otherwise dash must come out to redress retaining clip for grommit.
Kenwood 959 amp (4 X 120w + 1x 200w for sub)
Sub box (smallest one - from Halfords) - Fits nicely at front of boot facing in - still able to lower roof.
Infinity 1200w sub to fit box.
Kept original clarion header and used speaker outputs to drive amp
Total system price = £450
Total time to fit = 8 hours
Total sound - And i mean this system really rocks - even with the roof down - most bass comes straight into the car and not out of the boot lid
Any questions and i will try and answer
Easy ICE setup - Great sound

You need to remove the rear seats - have to do that anyway to change the rear speakers. Take the cable from the boot - find a gap behind the trim. Route it under the passenger carpet (if a right hand drive)- easy to remove it just unclips. Then by the bonnet release lever under the carpet you will find a rubber grommit. This grommit once removed (make a small hole in it for the cable). Pass the cable through the grommit and then out of the car (open the door - you will see it . If i remember rightly there is another grommit on the car body - opposite the one inside the car). Pass the cable up through a gap in the engine bay - there is a black wire there already for the brakes i think. I connected my cable via a fuse direct to the fuse box feed - saves trouble trying to connect to the battery as its a weird connector there. Hope that all makes sense.
