new type of rubber seals

Just got my new car and realised that it has a new type of rubber seals around the roof. The old one was soft rubber and easy to bend. The new one is much harder. If it works???? yet to see!!!

And to all of you who still have a black cc.... the arden red is fabelous

I will try to borrow a digital camera and take some pics. Not sure the changes will show because the differense is in the material. I belive the shape of the seals are pretty much the same as the old ones. But give me some time and I can compare it with my brothers car.
Before i could stick my finger in behind the seal and easily bend it out. This is almost imposible now cause they are so stiff.

i got a 2002 model and its has stiff rubber seal arround the roof area, different from the ones arround the windows

yepp Huu, thats what I'm talking about. The one I rejected was prodused november or desember 2001 and had the same soft rubber around the roof as around the windows.

I have stiff rubber seals but alas they still let water in . . .

The dealer had it in and thankfully it is 90% ok now.

I know but I just didn't feel happy with them messing around with it - they made my car really dirty, didn't treat it well and I have lost confidence.

I did complain but as it is only minor and very infrequent I didn't think it was worth the risk of them making it worse again.
