I know you cannot make your car look newer than it is but seeing as my new one will have the new style plates, can I still get a personalised plate in the old format or will it have to be in the same sort of style, Been looking on the DVLA web site and not entirely sure.

u can have old style personalised plate no probs......
as long as the plate dont make the car look younger than it is its ok
so if u have a 51 plate u cant get a personalised one that has 02 or 52 etc etc

All the paperwork involved with changing your plate....or is it something I could get the garage to do and have it all organised ready for when I collect the car..... after I order it of course!
