Yep I remember seeing this in the old forum! Not sure what happened to the idea but the car did need modifications and I questioned the Peugeot warranty validation issue..

I assume if you modify the way the roof works then this will invalidate the warranty unless it was Peugeot certified I think.

all the info can be found on Ralf Koerners site in Germany

it only needs to be linked into 2 wires so warranty shouldnt be a problem - best check yourself first though.

Nice gadget but I think new spec owners should be VERY cautious about this due to multiplex tech.

remote roof does sound a great idea, but whats the point when you still need to open & close the catches ???

the catches are a problem.

But the benefit I could see is if like me you have ever got home from work and intendedto go out again shortly so leave the roof down. You sit down fall asleep and it starts to rain. The auto roof system detects the rai or night fall (depends how long you sleep) and shuts the roof.

With the windows going up as well no one can get into the car. Those ever efficient germans have tested that theory out. So it is quite secure.

No more waking up in the middle of the night in a sudden panic  has it been nicked or is it now a swimming pool.

In my opinion this is a little bit show-off and nothing more. Anyway Autoroof = more electronics = More faults !!

Alexandros, i agree, all you need is someone near you with a remote that uses the same frequency as your roof remote and you have it opening in the middle of a rain storm - not good
